Guardiola issues apology to Gerrard
Pep Guardiola has apologised to Steven Gerrard after his "unnecessary and stupid comments" during his press conference on Friday afternoon, when he raised the Liverpool captain's famous slip in 2014 while defending his Manchester City team.
Guardiola was expressing his pride at City's history under their Abu Dhabi ownership after the Premier League hit City with over 100 finance-related charges when he mentioned Gerrard's slip against Chelsea, which helped hand the title to Guardiola and his players that season.

City outline Haaland selection update
Pep Guardiola stopped short of confirming that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will be fit to feature against title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night (7.30pm).
Haaland started the game with Aston Villa but was brought off at half-time with a thigh injury having allowed Riyad Mahrez to take the penalty City were awarded, despite the No.9 being the designated taker this campaign. Guardiola suggested after the win that his substitution was precautionary.
City raised the hopes of fans that the striker would be involved at the Emirates after the club posted pictures showing him training on social media on Monday. However, the City manager said that he would have to wait for the session on Tuesday before settling on his line-up.
