If you've retired your or your children's old toys to the loft, it might be time revisit them. Toys from the film phenomenon Toy Story are up for sale on ebay for quite literally hundreds of pounds. You never know, you could have a fortune boxed up and languishing in your roof space.
Stars of the mid 90s film franchise that started fans on a journey to the secret world of toys may have entertained a generation or two on the big screen - while the franchise grossed more than $3.2 billion worldwide in the process - but now Buzz, Woody, Bullseye, Little Bo-peep and crew are turning a profit for the public in the form of the spin off merch.
Currently listed on ebay for a whopping £500 or best offer, is a "vintage 1996 Toy Story 12" Chrome" Buzz Lightyear figure. Brand new and still in its box, 42 people are currently watching the sale. While no-one has yet had the pleasure of playing with the toy, a sale at this price is sure to make the selling smile.

Loveable cowboy Woody is next up - and while he's been out of the box - he's still being sold with a price tag of £149.99. The pre-owned toy is listed as a "Toy Story Woody Figure" an original 90s "Singing Figure Toy" with guitar that is "fully working". The seller adds that it's a : "Lovely condition Woody with Guitar - now rare. ( accessories not included)".
The once coveted and queued for Woody cowboy doll with pull string - allowing you to hear phrases such as "there's a snake in my boot', and 'I'm sheriff Woody..." also makes the list. One used and unboxed toy is listed for £149.99.
And of course, we couldn't have Woody without Bullseye. Marginally cheaper at £149.94, for a Disney 15" soft poseable toy which is up for grabs. Not all Toy Story memorabilia is being listed or indeed fetching such high prices. A used 1998 Slinky Dog listed on a 'buy it now' basis, is priced at £29.99.
While the first Toy Story film hit cinemas in the UK in March 1996, and three more movies followed, the love for the Toy Story franchise continues. A quick look on social media channels will bring up TikTok's featuring the characters, memes, and of course, the latest drama continues with Disney Pixar's 'Lightyear', a spinoff now in cinemas. However, while you may still enjoy the sound of Tim Allen voicing the space ranger in the previous films or merchandise, Buzz isn't brought to life using the vocal of the actor and comedian. Taking his place is Tim Allen - Christ Evans, the actor who took the role of Captain America get the job. But that's another story.
