A mum has shocked fellow parents by choosing a verb to name her baby - but she says that it isn't pronounced how you'd expect.
The parent is clearly keen to give her daughter an unconventional moniker that will help her stand out. But some people took issue with her choice and said she should have picked something more common, The Mirror reports.
A Reddit used shared a post they had seen elsewhere that had left them surprised. Sharing an image from social media posted by a woman who had recently had a baby, they said: "The worst one I’ve seen this week. The pronunciation is even worse."

The photo had some text over it which read: "We welcomed a beautiful little girl into this world named Imagine in 2018. (Em-ah-jen)." This seemed to suggest that the name should be pronounced differently to the way people generally say 'imagine'.
Reddit users quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts on the unusual decision. One person suggested that a similar but more conventional choice may have been better, pointing out that: "Imogen was right there."
Another agreed, saying: "Was this supposed to be Imogen but they didn't know how to spell it?" And a third said they didn't like the name Imogen as it "reminds me of a chemical or element of the periodic table", but said it would still be "better than this atrocity".
Someone else wrote: "They've consigned Imagine to a whole lot of future problems. From her first day of kindergarten, she's going to have to correct her teachers, substitutes, administrators, and anyone else who reads her name out. (I know what I'm talking about; my own name has five letters, and has been mangled endlessly.) It doesn't seem like a huge problem, but it's going to get really tiresome for Imagine."
It comes after The Mirror reported yesterday about another mum whose parents hate the name she has picked for her child. She said she wants to give her soon-to-be born baby and 'old-fashioned' name, with Octavia being her favourite.
Her boyfriend wants to pick a more modern name and has suggested Mikayla - but the mum can't stand that option. She says that she should have the final say as she is the one who has to endure the "constant discomfort" of pregnancy.
One person commented that she was "simply wrong about how entitled you are to unilaterally choose the name. You're gonna have to find a compromise somehow".
While another added: "Names are a two-yes type of thing. You both need to agree or resentment will grow. Also as a girl with an old-fashioned name, I did get bullied for it."
And a third wrote: "Assuming your boyfriend is going to be in your life long term as her father, yes you both should decide on a name you both like. Also, Octavia sounds like a supervillain name."
