People have been letting their thoughts be known after Guinness launched its latest new product on Tuesday.
The company has released a cold brew flavoured stout inspired by the popular coffee drink.
The drinks became available in the UK on Tuesday after the successful launch of Guinness Cold Brew Coffee Beer in the US last year.
Guinness-makers Diageo explained: "Dialling up the much-loved coffee notes of Guinness Draught, Cold Brew Coffee Beer is an ideal drink for those who may not have previously considered enjoying a pint of the black stuff, as well as existing fans.
"To create this refreshing new taste, cold brew coffee – coffee which has been steeped in cool water for long periods of time instead of with boiling water - is added to Guinness Draught, alongside additional roasted barley flavours, to balance delicate notes of coffee, chocolate and caramel from the first sip to the last.
"With approximately 2mg of caffeine per can, the same as a decaf coffee, Guinness Cold Brew Coffee Beer is best served ice cold, either straight from the can or in a favourite glass; perfect for sipping while catching up with friends, when relaxing at home, or enjoyed as a delicious drink in the sun."
People in the UK and Ireland have been sharing their reactions to the launch, with some excited to try the stout and others less than enthused by the idea.
A former Guinness employee said in a now-viral Twitter post: "I used to do social media for Guinness and any time they launched a new product fans would send death threats so I would like to pray for the team today as they launch their coffee beer."
Sharing their thoughts on Guinness Cold Brew Coffee Beer, one person said: "Now I quite like 1/2 pint of cold brew coffee in the morning when I have my breakfast but, had never thought of having cold brew coffee and Guinness before. I might have to give it a try out of curiosity."
A second said: "It’s not terrible but it tastes exactly like what you get if you mixed a can of cold brew coffee and a can of Guinness together."
A third commented: "I would go HAM for Guinness coffee oh my god."
A fourth wrote: "I'm a fan of coffee and a fan of @Guinness - surely a match made in heaven..."
A fifth said: "What time of day are you supposed to drink the coffee Guinness."
Someone else commented: "Coffee and Guinness is chaotic and would only speed up an already famously less than satisfactory digestive outcome."
While another Twitter user stated: "Guinness is vile but I also love coffee so might take a punt on this."
