As summer is here, more people will be choosing to remove their leg hair, as many like a smooth look as the weather warms up. And whilst it's certainly not compulsory, if you choose to shave as your preferred method of removal, it turns out you've been doing it wrong.
One woman has shared her "best leg shaving hack", imparting her knowledge to other people who want to make their shaving experience as smooth as possible - because she'd been doing it wrong too.
Char, who posts on TikTok as @charmakeupnz, said: "I've just realised I've been shaving my legs wrong for the past 20 years."
She went to the shower and shared that she "was today years old" when she realised that you're not supposed to "run the water the whole time and shave a row, rinse it under the water, shave another row and rinse it under the water" when you're shaving your pins.
Instead, you're supposed to "shave a row, glide the razor down, shave a row, glide the razor down."
"And the hairs get pushed out as you glide up and down your legs", Char shared. "It's so much quicker and so much easier. So good.
"And before you ask, I promise I've never cut my leg doing this!"
In the comments, others shared their top tips for shaving too - but not everyone was convinced.
"Also, have you tried men's razors before?", someone asked. "They get so much closer and last longer than the ones marketed to women!"
Another wrote: "I do this! But with one of those razors that have the moisture bar on them. Makes it so much easier."
A TikToker shared her top shaving tip, commenting: "I use oil first makes the slide of razor smooth easier plus moisturise your skin so you don't get itchy later. I use Johnson baby oil but any is fine."
"I have just done this and I have never felt so lied to my whole life! My shaving time is now decreased to literally seconds!!!!", a woman fumed.
Some didn't like the look of the hack though, with someone cringing: "Oh my god, that seems so dangerous", with another simply writing: "Omg."
