Silverstone Building Consultancy has promoted Philip Bone to director at its Newcastle office.
The company is a specialist firm of chartered buildings surveyors and project managers, with offices in Newcastle and Leeds.
Mr Bone, who has been with the firm 11 years and was previously senior associate director, said: “Being appointed to director is an extremely proud moment for me having progressed through the company for just over a decade. Joining as a graduate, the level of support, encouragement and guidance offered to me over the years has been invaluable.
“I am looking forward to the challenge of managerial responsibility and helping to drive the long-term growth of the firm as we continue to strengthen the team.”
In another internal promotion, Jack Margerrison steps up from chartered building surveyor to senior surveyor at the Leeds office.

The Northumberland Pub Company has enlisted two new senior team members at its Felton venue.
Adam Westgarth has been appointed head chef, while Clair Potts has been appointed general manager at the Northumberland Arms in Felton.
With a background in fine dining, Mr Westgarth has been in the hospitality industry for more than two decades and has worked at many of the region’s top hotels including Wynyard Hall, Otterburn Castle and Matfen Hall, having worked up to Michelin star and four rosette levels
General manager Ms Potts has brought more than 25 years of experience to her new position, having started her career in hospitality when she was just 16.

Digital marketing agency Mediaworks has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of Samantha Link as group people director.
Ms Link joins the Gateshead agency having held senior level HR positions at fellow tech and digital businesses, including global software giant Sage and Future50 leaders, Nomad Digital.

Bradley Hall Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents has welcomed two new arrivals.
The Newcastle firm has appointed property management surveyor, Andrew Cole, and business administration apprentice, Harriet Hoyland.
Mr Cole joins with 38 years of management experience and a range of knowledge to assist with Bradley Hall’s growing property management portfolio. Ms Hoyland joins on a business administration apprenticeship and will gain her Level 3 Housing and Property qualifications, delivered by Learning Curve, while at the firm.

The Team Valley company has appointed Andy Small as technical sales engineer. Mr Small joins from Continental AG’s Dunlop Oil & Marine, having spent three years as a sales engineer in the oil and gas industry after graduating from Northumbria University.
New business development manager Paul Mulvey has extensive experience in sales and marketing across industries including automotive, aerospace, defence and distribution, with a focus on emerging and growing markets.
Helen McNally joins as customer account manager. She previously worked for Elddis Transport and has spent her career in fast moving customer service roles.
