Irish people spotted a strange occurrence over the skies of one town on Wednesday night which they said seemed "identical to classic UFO reports".
The unusual sightings were reported in Ennis, Co Clare and appeared as "strange lights in the sky" that were "moving erratically".
The lights, spread out in a line, seemed to be "bouncing around", according to one man who spotted them.

He said their exact location were in the "southern sky in the direction of Shannon/Limerick, but at a higher angle".
Taking to the Reddit Ireland forum to share what he saw, he questioned whether the objects could be UAPs, or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, which is the new term for UFOs.
He said: "I'm in Ennis right now and the auld lad just called me out to the back garden. He spotted these strange lights in the sky, looking up due south.
"Several of them spread well out almost in a line. Looks like three white lights and one red in each object. We counted at least five.
"Stationary and then moving erratically all of a sudden at random. Would go forward a bit, then back the way it came, then up or down and stop again. Almost like it was bouncing around.
"What was odd is that we were both watching at the same time and he was adamant he could see them moving, to which I honestly had to say they were still to my eyes.
"However, once he went back inside and I stayed looking, they started moving to me. Movement was identical to classic UAP/UFO reports. Very interesting to watch. This was around 22:50 we watched for about 20mins. AFAIK they are still up there."
Another social media user said they had also witnessed the same lights in the sky.
They said: "I spotted this as well, I was wondering was it a plane. All I seen however was one flashing red slight moving slowly."
The original poster replied by saying: "Yes, glad to hear my story corroborated! White and red lights for sure. Sometimes moving slowly. But a couple times they bounced around fast for me. If you look around you will for sure see more."
He did not take photos or videos of the sightings as he said it would be "pointless" as the lights were too far away and it was dark.
People came up with suggestions for what the unidentified objects could be, with one person saying it could be the "moon bouncing off a gas cloud".
Some thought the items could be satellites or the Starlink, but this was dismissed by the Clareman who first reported the sighting.
He said: "Satellites tend to keep moving on. They don't stay still for a few mins then go back the way they came. Then go up, down and all over the place before being dead still again."
Suggestions that it could be Starlink, a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, were also dismissed, with the man saying: "No way. I have seen Starlink pass over before. Thing about Starlink is it keeps going. It doesn't stop, go back over itself, then up, down and then stay still again."
