February marked the 6oth anniversary of the Beatles arriving in the US, performing first on the Ed Sullivan Show before later touring the country.

The band went on to hold all top five slots on the Billboard Hot 100 on 4 April, and were met by screaming and frenzied fans as they criss-crossed the US for their 1964 tour.

The quartet’s north American tour saw them play 32 shows in 26 venues across 24 cities in just 33 days in 1964, including gigs in Milwaukee, Indianapolis and Denver.

Six decades on and the Beatles’ imprint on music is still with us. We want to hear people’s experiences with Beatlemania in 1964. Did you see the Beatles when they arrived in the US? What memories do you have of the band’s tour? Or if they didn’t come to your city – did you experience the band’s impact another way? How do you look back on the phenomenon 60 years later?
