People have been left in tears over a woman's "amazing gesture" to a man who had lost everything.
The ECHO previously reported how 34-year-old Vicky Prendergast was walking to her local shops in West Derby when she was approached by a man outside Panda Chinese. The man asked for a cone of chips after saying he had not eaten for two days.
The man, known as Dave, told Vicky he lost his wife and son in a car crash last year and he lost his job as a lorry driver, which he had for 30 years. Since then, Vicky - with the help of people across Liverpool - has helped to transform Dave's life.

People across the city have come together to help bring Dave food, household items and clothing. Vicky previously said: "He told me he hadn't eaten in two days because he had his money sanctioned by the job centre. He only had a Creme Egg to eat on Christmas Day. I took his details and said I would bring him some food the next day. I couldn't sleep after hearing his story."
Since the outpouring of support, people have been left in tears by the offers of help for Dave. ECHO reader Dawn Marie Mcgrath said: "What an amazing gesture. No one knows what's around the corner. This is the type of people we need more of in this world, good luck Dave the only way is up now."
Sheila Ambrose wrote: "What a beautiful story. Sad obviously that Dave fell on hard times but so inspirational in a time when all we are hearing of is the bad things. It's the practical things this lady and husband have done such as arranging an appointment with a charity, helping him compile a list of his qualifications that will start him on an upward trend. Well done you have literally turned his life around along with the people who donated stuff for him and his home."
Tracie Rose added: "Wow what a lovely lady, you have turned his life around, this sad tragic story brought tears to my eyes, it just goes to show a little bit of kindness and compassion goes a long way, good luck Dave."
Vicky has also organised for a charity to come out and see Dave on Friday afternoon, where they will deliver him some food and discuss his next steps and help set up benefits for him. She has also written down all of his qualifications and is trying to help find him a job.
Since reading the story, David Ashley said: "Very moving. What a difference being shown a little compassion and empathy can make to a person's life." Pauline Pruden Cureton added: "Oh this made me teary eyed. This woman could, quite easily, have walked on by but she didn't and look at the results.
"I actually take my hat off to her (metaphorically speaking) and her partner and, of course, the kind people that donated. I just love this story. What a fantastic thing to do."
