The North East is in for a bout of welcome warm weather over the Easter weekend.

According to the Met Office, the region will experience dry weather with bright spells which will be good news for those of us looking forward to catching some rays over the period. This will form part of a small heatwave on a national level with the UK set to be warmer than parts of Spain over Easter.
