People excited for new TV show as Senator Lynn Ruane heads 'off on the road' with Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes

Irish Twitter users got very excited on Monday has Senator Lynn Ruane posted a clip of herself with Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes in a camper van.

The clip was posted to Twitter and showed the Dublin senator and the British actress about to set off on the road with Senator Ruane asking Miriam to 'say hello to Tallaght.'

Margolyes starred as Professor Pomona Sprout in the Harry Potter movie franchise and as one of the most widely regarded actresses on stage and screen in the UK, she has become an hilarious regular guest on chat shows like The Graham Norton Show. She is well known for her jovial and witty personality.

In Senator Ruane's short video, Miriam happily says hello to Tallaght before the politician says: "Me and Mimzo are off on the road."

Followers instantly began speculating about why the unlikely pair would be together for a road trip with comments suggesting it "looks like something good to watch on telly."

Another reply read: "Oh my goodness, what's happening?! Is this the best fever dream ever?"

A third commenter said: "I am hyperventilating. What is going on?" while another begged, "please tell me this is a tv series please Miriam does Tallaght."

While that sounds like a show we would certainly watch, the pair are actually working on a different TV project.

'Lady Gregory – Ireland’s First Social Influencer' will see them team up for a road trip exploring the life of the playwright and Abbey Theatre founder.

Last year, it was reported that Kite Entertainment was awarded €178,000 for the two-part RTÉ One series about Lady Gregory. It should air something in the autumn or early next year.
