People are obsessed with clever 15-second personality test - but some say it's 'a trap'

A quick-fire test that claims to help you work out who you really are is causing waves on the internet for vastly opposed reasons. The findings of the 15-second personality assessment is amazing some people, baffling others, and raising a laugh for many more.

The bizarre test was shared by TikTok user @morganaoreilly who admitted she found it elsewhere on the video sharing app but couldn't remember who had originally posted it. But she said she hadn't been able to get it out of her head since she first came across it during a "deep TikTok scroll".

She said: "I can’t remember the creator that shared it. I’m sorry. But it’s been with me ever since."

Facing the camera, she starts by asking her viewers to think of an animal.

"Any animal, the first one that comes to your head," she instructs.

But there's a twist - once you''ve chosen your animal, she takes it away explaining you can't have it anymore as it's not available.

Morgana then asks people to come up with a second animal, but shortly after she again says you can't have that one and instead you must pick a third animal.

Once you've picked all three, she explains what it was all for - and the results might surprise you.

"The first animal is the way you see yourself," Morgana tells fellow TikTokers. "The second animal is the way other people see you.

"And the third animal is who you really are."

The short personality test blew people's minds and the video has gone viral, being watched over 2.6 million times and garnering more than 195,000 likes.

One baffled person commented: "I think I’m a dog, people see me as a horse, but I’m actually a GIRAFFE. But I’m petite. WHAT IS THIS?"

Another said: "So I see myself as an elephant but other people see me as a beaver when in reality I’m actually a squirrel, huh?!"

While someone else branded the test "a trap".

"I am a salamander? I don't know what to do with this information," replied a fourth.

A different user added that the test had made them "wanna cry."
