Chickens are not usually considered as family pets however, to some people, they are not just farm animals, they are beloved friends.
The latest trend to hit the internet is slightly strange but incredibly entertaining as snaps of chickens with arms circulate online.
That’s right, people across the world have been buying baby doll arms that can be worn by their pet chickens and the results are hilarious.
The trend began when a woman named Shell Critter was sent a gift for her pet chicken in the post.
When she opened the parcel, it was a pair of "chicken arms".
The letter attached read: “Dear Sparkle, I know mommy said not to send out ‘props’ because your page was taken down…. But…. U.B. found something that I thought you could use from time to time.
“Please ask mom or dad to take a photo when they can!
“God Bless! Uncle Brian.
“P.S. Always stay away from red/white buckets and anything with the word "nugget" in it. – Trust me!”
Shell found the attachable arms too funny not to share and so posted a picture of her chicken strutting its stuff around her home with its new arms on.
People got a right giggle as they watched Shell's chicken Sparkle walk around, looking like they could take on anyone who dared cross them.
Shell is no stranger to animals as she owns 52 pets in total.
She has 35 rescued birds ranging from Macaws to Budgies, eight dogs, nine cats, two goats and a rooster named Apple.
The animal lover’s picture gathered attention, and soon more people began to order the arms for their chickens.
The arms are held together by a wire, which is then rested on the chicken's back, allowing the arms to hang on each side of the chicken's body.
Making the chickens look like the biggest hotshot in the gym, the attachable arms are sure to provide some great photo opportunities.
