An elderly man fought off a masked robber using only a pair of jeans inside a launderette in Maltby, Rotherham, dramatic CCTV footage shows.
Ron Croker, 84, was using the Coin-Op Launderette on 7 January when a man entered the premises demanding money from him.
Footage from inside the business shows Croker, with a pair of jeans wrapped around his hand, shoving the attacker away from him before the man eventually flees.
South Yorkshire Police said that Lloyd Smith, 42, was charged with attempted robbery in connection with the incident.
He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Friday, 7 February.
