A pensioner has been rushed to hospital for treatment to serious injuries after being hit by a car.
The 82-year-old woman had been walking on the A77 Vicarton Street in Girvan at around 10.45am on Monday, June 6.
A black Citroen C4 collided into her and she was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
The driver was not injured.
Police Scotland are now looking for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage which could help to get in touch with them.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans, of Ayrshire Road Policing Unit, said: “An elderly woman sustained serious injuries as a result of this crash and I am appealing for anyone witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage that could assist our investigation to contact police.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1092 of 6 June.”
