Gardai are investigating after a pensioner was robbed at his home in Co Meath.
A man claiming to have found lost money entered the home of a man in his 70s on Wednesday afternoon in the Ladyrath area of Wilkinstown. He showed the resident the cash in his hand and asked if it belonged to him.
The man snatched a quantity of cash after going through other rooms in the house. He fled the scene on foot.

The elderly man was pushed during the course of the burglary but was injured otherwise. Gardai are asking anybody who was in the area around this time and who may have witnessed any suspicious persons or vehicles should contact Navan Garda Station on 046-9079930.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai attended the scene of a burglary that occurred at midday on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in Ladyrath, Navan, Co. Meath.
"A man entered the property and proceeded to take a sum of cash. The owner of the home was uninjured and received a push from the suspect.
"He left the scene on foot, investigations ongoing."
