As the November presidential election draws closer, Pennsylvania emerges as one of the battleground states with a closely contested race. According to recent data, Vice President Kamala Harris maintains a slight lead over former President Donald Trump.

The latest survey shows Harris holding 49% of likely voters' support, while Trump trails closely behind at around 47%. A small percentage, three percent, remains undecided at this point.

Conducted between September 17 and September 24, the bipartisan poll utilized various methods including landline, cell phone, and text-to-web surveys to gather responses.

One notable trend highlighted in the survey is Harris' struggle to secure the senior citizen demographic. Voters aged 65 and older are leaning towards Trump by a margin of seven points, marking a significant shift from the previous election where Trump was trailing Biden.

When it comes to approval ratings, the survey indicates that 50% of likely voters approve of Trump's performance during his presidency from 2016 to 2020, while 49% disapprove. On the other hand, Harris' approval ratings as vice president stand at 45%, with 52% expressing disapproval.

The survey sample consisted of 1,398 likely voters in Pennsylvania, with an overall margin of error of four percentage points. Additionally, an over-sample of 470 likely voters aged 50 and above was included in the data, with a margin of error of three and a half percentage points.
