A Pennsylvania man expressed his disappointment upon learning that the tickets he purchased to attend President Donald Trump's outdoor inauguration were rendered invalid due to the ceremony being moved indoors as a result of cold weather conditions. Despite this setback, he decided to proceed with his trip to Washington, DC, to partake in the celebrations.
He shared, 'We had our plans for the weekend. We figured we’d come down and see what the — get a plan B together, and try to enjoy as best as we can. It was a great experience. Obviously the crowds were huge. But the support and the enthusiasm was just — it was fun to be around and fun to be a part of.'
Many others who held tickets also faced disappointment, but they united in their resolve to commemorate the inauguration of President Trump. The man emphasized, 'We pulled for him over the last eight years, and we’re happy to see him here. We’re happy to see a new start. Like I said, being around everybody, it’s been a party atmosphere, very fun.'
During his time in the city, he connected with local individuals, forged new friendships, and explored various parts of Washington, DC. On Sunday, he lingered outside the Capital One Arena, hoping to catch a glimpse of the motorcade and explore the offerings of vendors scattered throughout the city during this lively and exhilarating period.
