Luke Evans confirmed that he has split from boyfriend Rafael Olarra after 18 months of dating.
The 41-year-old actor, who is currently starring in ITV series The Pembrokeshire Murders, began dating the Argentine art director in summer 2019 but their romance appears to have since fizzled out.
Speaking to The Times ' Saturday Review, the Beauty and the Beast actor confirmed that he was currently single.
However, he is also admitted that he was hopeful to one day become a parent and has increasingly been thinking about 'getting on with it'.
Touching on the topic of his recent split, Luke told the publication: "It is what it is."
Later, he went on to talk about his hopes of one day becoming a dad and raising an 'opening minded and kind' child.
"I thought about it many times and as I get older I'm thinking maybe I should get on and do it. I don't want to be an old dad . . . but I would like to be a dad," Luke explained.
He added: "There's a lot of satisfaction to passing on your experiences and rearing a strong, open-minded, kind, respectful human being who can go out in the world and do something good.'
While Luke and Rafael are believed to have began dating in 2019, the pair only made one red carpet appearance together in November of that year.
They also went on to make their romance official on social media in February 2020.
Just Jared reported that the couple had then spent the first few months of the pandemic hunkered down in Florida.
In October 2020, the pair were rumoured to have split after they both unfollowed each other on Instagram.
At the time, the actor wiped all photos of Rafa from his Instagram page, while Rafa's page only has one of Luke left.
However, they quickly re-followed each other days later, suggesting that they had rekindled their romance.
As confirmed to The Times, it seems like their romance came to end not long after.
Aside from his recent split, Luke is currently starring in the ITV drama The Pembrokeshire Murders as DS Steve Wilkins.
The chilling drama centres on the story of real life killer John Cooper and a bizarre story that features an appearance on the ITV quiz show Bullseye.
