Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed concerns about the escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly in relation to Iran. Pelosi emphasized the need to address Iran's actions, stating that they must be stopped following Iran's recent attack on Israeli military targets with approximately 200 ballistic missiles. However, Pelosi also stressed the importance of avoiding a larger conflict.

Regarding Iran's nuclear capabilities, Pelosi refrained from advocating for immediate action, suggesting that collaboration with other countries could be a more effective approach. She criticized the Trump administration's withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, attributing Iran's current nuclear strength to this decision.

US President Joe Biden echoed Pelosi's sentiments by expressing his lack of support for an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites. Pelosi highlighted the importance of international cooperation in addressing Iran's nuclear ambitions, drawing on past efforts to curb Iran's nuclear weapons program.

When questioned about her trust in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision-making, Pelosi redirected the focus to the release of hostages held in Gaza as a top priority. This shift in emphasis underscores Pelosi's stance on the immediate humanitarian concerns in the region.
