Pedro Porro and Richarlison available to face Arsenal in double injury boost for Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Pedro Porro and Richarlison are both in contention to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Tottenham host Arsenal in a pivotal north London derby, with Spurs having the chance to significantly boost their top-four hopes and in the process potentially end the Gunners’ Premier League title hopes.

Spurs have not played since their heavy defeat to Newcastle a fortnight ago, during which Porro was forced off with a hamstring issue.

The Spanish has been in training, though, and is available to face Arsenal, as is Richarlison, who has been battling a knee injury. Oliver Skipp will miss out.

"Skippy picked up a small knock in training so he'll miss this weekend,” Postecoglou said at his press conference on Friday.

"Pedro and Richy both trained all week so both available."

Destiny Udogie will not be involved against the Gunners, after the full-back underwent surgery on his left quadriceps and was ruled out for the rest of the season.

It is a significant blow for Spurs, with Udogie making 28 Premier League appearances this season and playing a crucial role in Postecoglou’s system from left-back, and the Italian will play no part at Euro 2024 this summer.

“From the last game, disappointing one for Destiny, for ourselves as well because he's been a big part of our year,” Postecoglou said.

“It was an unfortunate incident in training, he's had the operation it's gone well and hopefully he's in time for pre-season to get back into it.”
