Pedro Pascal Says J.K. Rowling’s Anti-Trans Rhetoric Is ‘Heinous Loser Behaviour’

The Last Of Us star Pedro Pascal has come for Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s jugular over her transphobic rhetoric, calling Rowling a “heinous loser”. Go off King!!

Pascal commented his dislike for the author on an Instagram Post, published by writer and activist Tariq Ra’ouf, that outlined Rowling’s history of transphobia.

“Awful disgusting SHIT is exactly right,” Pascal said.

Pascal’s vocal dismissal of Rowling’s beliefs comes after he was spotted wearing a ‘PROTECT THE DOLLS’ T-shirt earlier this week while attending the film premiere of Marvel flick Thunderbolts in the UK on April 22.

The shirt was designed by Connor Ives, which aims to call attention to the ongoing rise of transphobia happening all over the world. All proceeds from the shirt’s purchases will be sent to charity Trans Lifeline.

Pascal has been increasingly vocal over his support for the transgender community following the devastating UK Supreme Court ruling that “woman” can only be defined as biological sex. Rowling — who helped bankroll the far-right group which brought the case to the Supreme Court — celebrated the news in a post on X

“I love it when a plan comes together,” Rowling wrote.

Rowling also shared an image of her smoking a cigar — NOT a blunt, as she weirdly made sure to emphasise — in the post celebrating the Supreme Court ruling.

Pascal also has a transgender sister, Lux Pascal, who described her brother as being “a guide” for her gender journey.

“He has been an important part of this. He is also an artist and has been a guide. He was one of the first to give me the things that formed my identity,” Lux told NBC News in February 2021.

Rowling has expressed her anti-trans views since 2020, and has been heavily criticised by activists, celebrities, and even the original cast of the Harry Potter film series, including Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.

In response to Rowling’s anti-trans philosophy, Radcliffe stated that it made him “really sad” in The Atlantic, and that he had not been in contact with her since.

“I do look at the person that I met, the times that we met, and the books that she wrote, and the world that she created, and all of that is to me so deeply empathic,” Radcliffe said.

Watson also spoke out against Rowling’s transphobia in 2020, tweeting support for the trans community and that they shouldn’t be “constantly questioned” about their identities.
