Ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, in Gaza City

Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan, a pediatric intensive care doctor with Doctors Without Borders, recently returned from Gaza and shared harrowing details of the situation in the enclave. In an interview with CNN, she described the scene as a 'massacre of human and civilian life.'

According to Haj-Hassan, there have been numerous killings of civilians, both young and old, with entire families being affected. She recounted a heartbreaking story of a young boy who lost his entire family in the conflict. Despite his own injuries, the boy's sister survived initially but was so severely burned and maimed that he could not recognize her. Tragically, the sister passed away two days later.
