A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was struck by a car in Laois earlier today.
The horror collision which took place on the R427 in Ratheniska at around 4:50pm.
The woman was rushed to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise with serious injuries.

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardai are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on the R427 in Ratheniska, Co. Laois. The collision which involved a car and a pedestrian occurred at approximately 4.50pm today, Monday 21 st November 2022.
"The female pedestrian was taken to Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise with serious injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
