Pedestrian struck by car on Scots road as emergency services rush to scene

A pedestrian has been struck by a car on a Scots road this afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Clarkston Road, Glasgow, around 4.35pm on Friday.

The extent of the pedestrian's injuries is not yet known.

Police Scotland remain on the scene following the incident.

A Police spokesperson said: "Around 4.35pm on Friday, 1 July, police received a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a car on Clarkston Road, Glasgow.

"Officers are at the scene."
