A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after they were hit by a car on a major communting road in Leeds.
West Yorkshire Police have issued a statement after the pedestrian was hit by a driver in Leeds at about 1.20pm.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital following the incident in Station Road in Crossgates. Temporary road closures were put in place.
A force spokesperson said: "At 1.19pm, police were called by the ambulance service to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Station Road, Crossgates.
"Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital. Temporary road closures have been put in place at this time."
The road has since been reopened. Police have not disclosed any further information on the casualty and any injuries they may have suffered.
