Pedestrian in her 80s in critical condition following Southmead Road crash

Police say a woman in her 80s is in a critical but stable condition following a serious car crash. The pedestrian was on Southmead Road, near the Henleaze roundabout, at around 5pm yesterday evening (February 22) when the incident involving a car occurred.

An update released by Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that the woman is now in a critical, but stable condition. Last night it was reported that she was left in a life-threatening condition.

Avon and Somerset Police is appealing for witnesses after the crash that occurred near Henleaze Road roundabout. The woman was wearing a dark purple jacket, grey leggings and carried a dark coloured handbag with brown handles and black pockets.
