Pedestrian hospitalised following two-vehicle crash

A WOMAN has been hospitalised following a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian in North Lanarkshire.

The crash happened around 11.05am on Friday on Petersburn Road in Airdrie, and involved two vehicles and a 44-year-old female pedestrian.

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with road traffic offences.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.

Police Scotland confirmed a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
