A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital following a two-car horror smash in Ayrshire this morning.
The 48-year-old was flown to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated following the smash on the A71 just before 9am.
The collision, between Hurlford and Galston, involved a pick-up truck, a Toyota car and a pedestrian.
A 69-year-old driver was also taken to Crosshouse Hospital.
The extent of the injuries sustained by both men and their condition has not been disclosed.
Police closed the road for almost two hours to allow crews to work at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.45 am on Tuesday, June 7, police were called to a road crash on the A71, between Hurlford and Galston in Ayrshire, involving a pick-up truck, a Toyota car and a pedestrian. Officers attended to assist.
"A 48-year-old man was taken by Air Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and a 69-year-old man was taken to Crosshouse Hospital.
"The road was closed and reopened around 10.40am."
