A woman has been rushed to hospital following a horror crash in Co Kilkenny on Monday evening.
Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene on Lover’s Lane, Kilkenny, at around 7.40pm after receiving reports of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 20s, was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital for treatment of injuries she sustained as a result of the collision.

Gardai have closed the road while a technical examination is carried out.
It will reopen later today.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended a traffic collision that occurred at approximately 7:40pm yesterday, Monday, 24th of October 2022 on Lover’s Lane, Kilkenny, Co Kilkenny.
“A vehicle collided with a pedestrian in the course of this incident. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 20s, was conveyed to St Luke’s General Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained as a result of this collision.
“The road involved in this collision remains closed at this time and is due to re-open later today.”
