Hit BBC drama Peaky Blinders has returned to Bolton to film scenes for its sixth and final series.
Television crews have been setting up in Le Mans Crescent and outside Bolton Parish Church, Churchgate, throughout today (Monday March 29).
Le Mans Crescent has been closed to the public, with security fences also erected on Queen Street and Cheadle Square.
The Manchester Evening News understands that filming in the town is set to take place all week.
Le Mans Crescent has become a popular filming location and has already featured in Peaky Blinders, doubling up as London.
In one episode, the gang walked through the crescent to a club, which precedes one of the most memorable scenes in the entire series - when Arthur Shelby takes to the stage and declares the club as 'under new management by order of the Peaky Blinders'.
Show creator and writer Steven Knight was excited about the return of the show to TV screens.
“Peaky is back and with a bang," he said.
"After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher.
"We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it.
"While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form."
Tommy Bulfin, executive producer for the BBC, added: "We are very excited that filming for Peaky Blinders has begun and so grateful to everyone for all their hard work to make it happen.
"Steve’s scripts for series six are truly remarkable and provide a fitting send-off which we are sure will delight fans."
