Peaky Blinders is set for a return as critics praise the latest series ahead of its BBC release.
With filming slowed by Covid measures, fans are ready to welcome the long-awaited season six after months of delays.
Cast members and fans alike will be sad to see the absence of character Polly, played by the late Helen McCrory, who died in 2021.
Nonetheless the show is set to return with some new faces and dramatic plot twists.
The Times described the new season as 'a masterclass in style and substance', while Emmett J Scanlan, the actor who plays Billy Grade, told Digital Spy season six is "so f**king strong".

Season six is set to bring a whole new selection of cast members to the Peaky Blinders plot.

Amber Anderson
English actress Amber Anderson has appeared in Black Mirror and Emma.
We don't know Amber's character yet, however the show’s director Anthony Byrne told Digital Spy that a dangerous new female character was going to be introduced to the plot.
“There’s a great female character who is new, who is pretty dark,” he said.
“I haven’t seen a character like her in Peaky before. I won’t say who she is, but she certainly gives Tommy a run for his money"
Conrad Khan
Also boasting an appearance on Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror, Conrad Khan is a 20-year-old actor from North London.
He was nominated for the EE Rising Star Award nomination at this year’s BAFTAs.
The successful new-comer has managed to pursue an acting career alongside his university studies.
Stephen Graham
Many will know Stephen for his appearances in This is England and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Peaky Blinders writer Stephen Knight told Digital Spy: "I've always wanted him to be in it. A character was starting to develop in the Liverpool docks. And you just think, well, there can be nobody else for this character.
"So it's somebody who comes up against Tommy, who isn't an enemy, really."
James Frecheville
James Frecheville is a 29-year-old actor from Australia known for his roles in Black 47 and Animal Kingdom
