Peaky Blinders fans predict Tommy will murder 'annoying' relative by end of season 6

Peaky Blinders fans have predicted that Tommy Shelby will end up murdering his own flesh and blood in the final season.

Series six kicked off on Sunday evening and it did not disappoint as Tommy (Cillian Murphy) had plenty of run ins, including several with his cousin Michael Gray.

Tommy and Michael are now working against one another as the latter has joined forces with his wife's uncle, Jack Nelson, in Boston.

By the end of the first episode, it was abundantly clear that Michael wants Tommy in the ground - and seems hellbent on doing it himself.

Not only does he blame Tommy for the death of his mother, Aunt Polly, he also founds out that Tommy set him up and made sure he went to prison for travelling overseas with drugs.

As they bid farewell to Aunt Polly and cremated her body, Michael was heard saying: "Mum, it was the ambitions and strategies of one man that caused this.

"And I swear in the name of almighty God, no matter what it takes, no matter how many lies I have to tell, I will take revenge on Tommy Shelby."

Later on in the episode when Tommy visited Michael in prison, he told him: "You're dead Tommy, you're out of your f*cking depth. You're dead already."

He then told him: "When my mother died at the hands of your ambition, you didn't learn your limitations."

Tommy sarcastically replied: "I have no limitations," before walking off.

Despite putting on a cocky front, it seems that Tommy himself was also fearing for his life as he was heard speaking to his late Aunt Polly and said: "Polly? Polly? I know, I tried to get out. Pol, they're coming for me."

Michael is certainly playing a dangerous game by going up against Tommy and the Shelby family (BBC)

The episode ended with Tommy taunting Michael about his wife Gina's upcoming visit to London as he hinted he'll be seeing her and will be "happy to show her the sights".

Michael was absolutely fuming at the thought of Tommy getting close to Gina, and it could be another reason for him to murder his cousin.

Viewers quickly began to speculate on Michael's future and took to Twitter to urge Tommy to end him.

One person posted: "I just want Tommy to go full nuclear on these idiots. Michael included. #PeakyBlinders."

Another tweeted: "I need Michael dead quickly #PeakyBlinders," while a third wrote: "kill off michael imo #PeakyBlinders."

A different viewer added: "someone take one for the team and end michael please #PeakyBlinders."

Someone else tweeted: "If Tommy doesn’t wipe michael off the streets this season, I will be very disappointed. #PeakyBlinders."

And another said: "I can’t stand Michael I’m so so sorry hated him since last season he’s f*cking annoying #PeakyBlinders."

Peaky Blinders continues Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
