Peaky Blinders fans pay touching tributes as BBC series comes to an end

It's dominated our TV screens since 2013, but now the final ever episode has aired and tributes have been flooding in for the cast and crew of Peaky Blinders. Fans have been sharing their love for the show as series six marks the end of the period drama series.

It was an emotional viewing for many loyal viewers who have watched the series since Tommy Shelby first rode through the streets on a black horse in the first episode of series one nine years ago. In the final scene broadcast on April 3, Tommy had a fitting end as he was seen riding off into the countryside on a white horse whilst flames filled the screen.

Despite it being the last series, it's not a final farewell from the Birmingham family. It has been confirmed that a feature film will be made and The Radio Times reported that Tommy Shelby played by Cillian Murphy is returning to feature but further cast details are yet to be revealed.
