It may be Blue Monday, thought to be the most depressing day of the year, but as announcements for summer festival line-ups and gigs get underway, there's plenty for music fans to look forward to. The latest announcement is Paul Weller will be playing Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury as part of the summer concert series Forest Live 2023, presented by Forestry England.
The Town Called Malice songwriter's performance will be in the midst of the Arboretum's stunning scenery, which includes 15,000 specimens and 2,500 species of tree from all over the world.
Weller has been making music for 50 years with The Jam, The Style Council and as a solo artist. In a statement, he said about the upcoming dates, “I am very happy to be playing the Forest Live gigs again as they are always such great shows with such a great audience! See you there.”

Weller has previously participated in the series making 25 appearances since his Forest Live debut in 2004, the most by any artist and all to sold-out crowds.
This year his show will be Thursday, June 8 2023, from 7 pm to 10.30 pm. Tickets for the Westonbirt show go on sale this Friday (January 20) with tickets priced at £52.50 with a £6.25 booking fee for each ticket.
