Pittsburgh Pirates rookie pitcher Paul Skenes has already toppled a major milestone in his electric first season in the MLB.
Against the hosting Houston Astros and first baseman Jon Singleton, Skenes recorded his 100th career strikeout on a really nice pitch.
This is an absolutely staggering achievement for Skenes to get to 100 strikeouts already in his very young career, as he’s already making a case that he’s among the best pitchers in the MLB … if not the best.
We’re sure there will be many, many, many more strikeouts ahead in Skenes’ baseball career, but getting to 100 this early is just unreal.
