Paul Scholes pokes fun at Patrice Evra about Manchester derby winner on Instagram

Paul Scholes has poked fun at Patrice Evra as he reacted to footage of his famous winner against Manchester City from April 2010.

In the resurfaced footage, Scholes places a powerful header beyond the reach of Shay Given following a cross from the French full back, sparking scenes of joy as the midfielder ran to celebrate in front of the United fans. The goal sent Sir Alex Ferguson dancing up and down the touchline as United secured the bragging rights.

But for Scholes the goal capped what was an incredible few days for him. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Made a bad cross look good Patrice Evra. Got married, had three amazing kids and scored this goal.

"Best five days of my life. Just can't work out the order."

Not one to miss out on the banter, Evra responded to Scholes on the Manchester United Instagram account. The Frenchman simply commented: "I love crossing for small people."

Manchester United return to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday to face City. The Reds are likely to be underdogs heading into the fixture with Pep Guardiola's men sitting top of the Premier League.
