Paul Robinson has warned Leeds United to avoid signing too many of Jesse Marsch's former players in case the American leaves Elland Road in the near future.
Marsch signed United States duo Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson in the summer, both of whom he worked with at RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg respectively.
Rasmus Kristensen also arrived from Red Bull Salzburg, having played under Marsch in Austria. Marsch has recently been under pressure after a run of eight matches without a win saw them drop into the relegation zone.
The scrutiny has been somewhat alleviated after Leeds collected two wins from their last three games to climb into 15th place before the World Cup. Nonetheless, the ex-Leeds goalkeeper says his former club should be 'reluctant' to use the World Cup as an opportunity to sign more American players.

“I was surprised that Brenden Aaronson didn’t start,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
“I’m glad that Tyler Adams got the captaincy, though, taking it off Pulisic and gave the players a vote so it shows what standing Adams has in the dressing room.
“I think you’ve just got to be careful of signing too many of the manager’s former players, or a better phrase, too many American players because he’s not going to be there forever to a certain level, so I’d be reluctant.”
