Paul Robinson believes Luis Sinisterra can become a 'top player' for Leeds United but needs to string a run of starts together. Sinisterra has enjoyed a strong start to life at Elland Road with two goals in his nine Premier League appearances.
It has, however, been somewhat stop-start for the Colombian after picking up an injury in pre-season that meant he was not handed his first league start until the draw with Everton at the end of August. On his third successive start Sinisterra was then sent off which meant he was suspended for the trip to Crystal Palace.
Sinisterra then returned to the starting XI for another three matches before missing the win at Liverpool last weekend due to injury. Speaking to MOT Leeds News, ex-Whites goalkeeper Robinson believes Sinisterra will become vital for Leeds the more starts he is able to put together.

He said: “Sinisterra’s been great but he’s not done it consistently.. He’s been coming off the bench and hasn’t been a consistent starter. When he’s come off the bench, he has done well when he’s started, he cuts in and he takes opportunities to score a goal.
“I think he can develop into a top player. The last two or three weeks, he’s started more than he’s been on the bench so it tells you something.
“Sinisterra and Summerville – I think they’re both very similar players. They’re both good, young and development. I think they can both become very good players but they need to be in a team that’s playing well but defensively, they are lacking.”
