Paul Pogba has declared he is "not at all" satisfied with Manchester United 's meagre trophy tally since he rejoined the club in 2016.
The midfielder, 29, joined the Red Devils from Juventus for a club-record fee of £89million four years on from when he departed on a free transfer. Pogba returned to England with a taste for silverware having won Serie A four times and the Coppa Italia twice during his glittering stint in Turin.
In his first season upon returning to Old Trafford, Pogba helped United win the League Cup and scored in the Europa League final to clinch a double under then-manager Jose Mourinho. However, the Premier League giants have not won a major honour since then, meaning their drought will extend to five years this summer.
Pogba has made no secret of how much he craves winners' medals and previously confessed he "felt empty" after the Red Devils ended the 2019/20 campaign trophyless. This term, United crashed out of the League Cup at the first round, suffered a fourth-round FA Cup upset at the hands of Middlesbrough and exited the Champions League with defeat by Atletico Madrid at the last-16 stage.
Ralf Rangnick's side are also a whopping 20 points behind local rivals Manchester City in the Premier League table with nine games remaining, so it will soon be mathematically impossible for them to win their first top-flight title since 2013. This has all come as a huge disappointment for Pogba, who described this season as "dead" as the trophy cabinet gathers more dust.

The France international told Paris-based outlet Le Figaro : "You have to be honest, the last five seasons have not satisfied me – really not at all. This year it is dead, we won't win anything. Whether it is with Manchester United or at another club, I want to win trophies."
Adding to his silverware frustrations, Pogba bemoaned the fact he does not have a "role" under Rangnick, who has shifted him from attacking midfield to the left flank and to a deeper berth. In contrast, he feels he has a clearly-defined position under France manager Didier Deschamps, who frequently deploys the player in central midfield.
"It's simple with France, I play and I play in my position – I know my role and I feel the confidence of the coach and the players," Pogba added. "It's normal to feel a difference at Manchester United because it's hard to be consistent when you often have a change to your position, or the team system, or your partners.
"I get along very well with [Deschamps], he gave me a role that I know, but at Manchester United do I really have a role? I ask the question but I don't have an answer." Pogba is out of contract at the end of the season and his latest interview strongly suggests he will not sign an extension and instead seek pastures new amid interest from Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
