Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has taken to Instagram to share an update on the calf injury that is currently keeping him sidelined.
The Frenchman, who is set to leave Old Trafford when his contract expires next month, has not featured in United's last three games after being forced off in the 4-0 drubbing against Liverpool at Anfield. He went off with just 10 minutes on the clock and the immediate signs did not bode well.
A few days later, ahead of the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, United interim boss Ralf Rangnick admitted that it was unlikely he would play for the club again, suggesting that he was out for the remainder of the season and would leave the club when his contract expires. He has been heavily linked with the likes of Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Speaking last month, Rangnick said: "He won't be available for the game tomorrow [vs Arsenal] and most likely not for the other four upcoming games. As it seems right now, he will not renew his contract and, I don't know, maybe the club or Erik [ten Hag] will also not want to renew the contract. I don't know. But it's most likely that he won't be here anymore next season."
Despite Pogba's Old Trafford career appearing to have hit the buffers a little earlier than planned, the midfielder is continuing to work on his recovery at the Carrington training base. On Friday morning, just over 24 hours ahead of the trip to Brighton & Hove Albion for United's penultimate Premier League fixture of the season, the midfielder shared what could be described as an encouraging update on his condition.
Taking to Instagram, the France international shared a video of him dancing around the gym, whilst working on strengthening his calf. As well as showing some fitness work on his right calf, which was strapped, Pogba also shared a clip of him kicking a ball across the the indoor training pitch he was working on, attempting to get it into a basketball hoop, which he successfully did at the second time of asking.
Alongside the video, Pogba wrote the caption: "New calf training and [target emoji]." He also said: "New way to work on the calf," referencing his dance moves.
Pogba's Old Trafford contract is poised to expire on June 30 and he has been offered a deal by PSG. However, it remains to be seen where he will be playing next season.
