Paul Pogba Juventus injury update issued ahead of potential Manchester United reunion

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that he does not know when Paul Pogba will be available again.

The former Manchester United player has been recovering from an adductor problem picked up during training. A pair of cameo substitute appearances in late February and early March are all the France international has managed this season having undergone summer surgery on a torn meniscus in his right knee.

Several setbacks followed and after returning to fitness and playing twice, Pogba missed the next match due to disciplinary reasons after arriving late for a pre-match meal. The midfielder sustained his latest problem in training earlier this month and is yet to return.

As Serie A resumes, Juve chief Allegri offered an update on Pogba, speaking to Football Italia: “At the moment, I can’t say when he will be available again. He’s working. At the moment, it’s difficult to say. The adductor is fine; let’s see training after training how the knee will react.”

Whether Pogba will be fit for a potential return to Old Trafford in the Europa League remains to be seen. Erik ten Hag's team play Sevilla in the quarter-finals, while the Italian giants are up against Sporting CP, with the knowledge that should both sides progress they would meet in the final four.
