Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho start - Manchester United predicted line-up vs Burnley

Manchester United will be looking to register a third successive Premier League victory when they travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley on Tuesday evening.

United, who were knocked out of the FA Cup on Friday evening, losing 8-7 on penalties to Championship side Middlesbrough, will make the short trip to Lancashire looking to continue their push for a top-four finish.

Although United will be looking to bounce back from their shock FA Cup exit just a few days ago, their league form has been good of late, meaning they will arrive at Turf Moor looking to retain the final Champions League berth, following their 1-0 win over West Ham United prior to the winter break.

Despite United's pursuit of a top-four finish, interim manager Ralf Rangnick went with a full strength side against Middlesbrough, with poor finishing, ultimately, proving to be the difference.

With the performance, despite the defeat, not forcing too many alarm bells to be sounded, Rangnick is unlikely to make many alterations.

However, David de Gea is expected to return in goal after Dean Henderson was given a rare outing against Boro. De Gea has been excellent between the sticks this season and recently won the Premier League Player of the Month award for January, meaning he deserves to win back his place.

The back-four, however, is likely to be exactly as it was on Friday, with Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw set to be tasked with trying to help United record a seventh successive clean sheet at Turf Moor.

Alex Telles has started the last three Premier League matches but will miss out after returning a positive Covid-19 test.

Fellow Brazilian Fred, who stepped off the bench against Middlesbrough, is also unavailable for selection after testing positive for Covid-19, meaning that Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba are expected to continue in the two holding midfield berths.

Bruno Fernandes, who has two goals and two assists in his last three league appearances will once again be handed the license to roam free and produce his magic in the No.10 position.

Whilst Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to spearhead the attack, despite the goals having dried up for him recently, Rangnick could face a tough choice when it comes to settling on who supports him from out wide.

Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga, in their own right, will all believe they are worthy of a starting berth after producing the goods in recent matches. However, Rashford and Sancho did pose a real threat against Middlesbrough and United were not starved of opportunities, meaning Rangnick will most probably start with the same two options out wide once again, meaning they will start in the front-three either side of Ronaldo.

That would mean Rangnick would be making just one change to the side that lost on Friday, with De Gea replacing Henderson in goal.

Predicted United line-up vs Burnley: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Shaw; Pogba, McTominay, Fernandes; Sancho, Ronaldo, Rashford.
