Paul O'Grady's husband rocked by more bad news as he shares latest heartbreak

Paul O'Grady’s husband has announced more bad news following the death of the late TV star.

Andre Portasio was with animal lover Paul for 17 years and shared their farmhouse home in Kent with many rescued animals.

But he revealed their pet goats, Maleficent and Beebo, had sadly died on the same day.

Posting a photo of Paul on Instagram with their pet goats, Andre wrote: “Bad news that keeps on coming... a very sad day at our house.

“@paulogrady goats Maleficent and Beebo have both passed away today.”

The death of Paul’s beloved goats comes two months after he passed away from a heart attack at the age of 67.

His famous pals and fans were quick to comment underneath as they rushed to offer their condolences.

Former Chattyman host Alan Carr wrote: “So sorry – awful just awful x.”

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden posted a crying emoji face.

While ex-TV presenter Melanie Sykes said: “Sending so much love xxxx.”

Fans also offered their support with one saying: “How sad indeed, missing Paul x.”

“On no, so sorry. As if you haven’t been through enough. Take care,” wrote another.

A third commented: “This is so sad, grief affects animals too. I hope you and Paul’s family are OK and taking care of each other.”

“They may have had a broken heart too missing Paul and not understanding why he is not there,” a fourth chimed in.

While a fifth added: “Animals know sorrow too... of that I’m sure... they’ve gone to join Paul.”

The sad news comes weeks after Andre lost Paul, who died ‘unexpectedly but peacefully’ on March 28.

Fans were left shocked by the sudden news of Paul's passing, which was announced midway through his UK tour of musical Annie and just days after he signed a new contract with Boom Radio station.

"It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening," Andre penned at the time.

"We ask, at this difficult time, that whilst you celebrate his life you also respect our privacy as we come to terms with this loss.

"He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion.

"I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years."

Paul had previously joked he was 'counting his blessings' in regards to his health and said it would be a 'miracle' if he reached 60.

Heart attacks run in his family and both his mum and dad died from the same thing.

Before the fatal one that killed him, Paul had suffered three heart attacks, with the first happening in 2002 when he was in his 40s.

Another one occurred in 2006 as he shopped in Waitrose and a third in 2014 when he was hospitalised while filming his Paul O’Grady Show.

He also spoke about knowing that smoking was contributing to his ailing health.

"I've always said I have two great loves, Benson and Hedges, so it's not been easy quitting," he once quipped.
