Paul O'Grady fans were in tears during last night's For the Love Of Dogs.
The Merseyside icon was laid to rest yesterday at a private funeral in Kent after he died aged 67. Fans of the Lily Savage star were also invited to join a procession through the streets around Aldington before heading to the church.
Reverend Canon Roger Martin welcomed family and friends including comedian Julian Clary, actress Dame Sheila Hancock, the late Dame Barbara Windsor's widower Scott Mitchell and EastEnders actor Scott Maslen. Dogs and their owners also lined the streets in Paul's hometown of Birkenhead.

Paul was a renowned animal lover and was an ambassador of Battersea Dogs & Cats home, which featured in the ITV show For The Love of Dogs. The TV star had already filmed a new season of the popular show before he died, which is currently airing on ITV.
Fans tuned into the latest episode last night and were emotional as they watched Paul's show hours after his funeral.
