Paul O'Grady fans in disbelief after latest Instagram update

Paul O'Grady fans have left emotional comments after the late comedian and TV presenter's Instagram was updated.

The 67-year-old, known for his character Lily Savage, was laid to rest at a private funeral in Kent last week. Fans of the animal lover were also invited to join a procession through the streets around Aldington before heading to the church.

Dogs and their owners also lined the streets in Paul's hometown of Birkenhead.

On Friday a new post appeared on Paul's Instagram page, after an earlier decision was made by his family to keep the page going for now at least.

The update featured a number of videos and photos of bouquets of flowers, as well as a dog made of flowers wearing a collar that read: "Buster". Captioning the post, Paul's family said: "Today marks 1 month since our Paul passed away. We all miss him very much.

"On behalf of @andre_portasio we would like to thank you all for all messages, cards, text and beautiful flowers he received. A big shout out to Janine Ferguson who organised a heartfelt farewell ceremony on the day of his funeral in Birkenhead and all those whom donated to his associate charities @battersea, @savechildrenuk Orangutan Appeal UK and @goshfundraiser.

"All very much appreciated."

Many fans were stunned to hear it had been a month since his passing. Taking to the comments section, Cara said: "I can't believe it has been a month already. One month too many without Paul x"

Jo said: "I still can’t believe he’s left, it’s so surreal. What an incredible human being", while Rich said: "A month already? We miss you Paul". Amanda said: "Still can't believe it", and Samantha said: "So terribly sad he has been taken, will be missed so much xx"
