Paul O'Grady fans gather in Birkenhead for heartfelt rendition of Who Let The Dogs Out

Mourners gathered in Birkenhead and broke out in a cover of 'Who Let the Dogs Out' as they celebrated the life of Paul O'Grady.

Crowds of people congregated in the town centre ahead of the funeral of the beloved comedian and TV stalwart. Many attended the tribute with their dogs including Bichons Frises.

During the gathering, fans of Paul started clapping en masse and chanted: "We love Paul." It appears one mourner brought a speaker to the meeting as 'Who Let The Dogs Out' rang out in the street.

People could be seen dancing and singing to the Baha Men's hit single in what was a joyous celebration of Paul's life. Paul will be buried in the village of Aldington, Kent, where he lived for more than 20 years.

This afternoon, a procession of limousines and a coffin in a horse and carriage will move from his home to St Rumwold's Church in nearby Bonnington.
