Superstar actor Paul Mescal has opened up on an infuriating incident of a "creepy" fan groping his ass.
The Maynooth man has been nominated for the prestigious Best Lead Actor at the Oscars for his role in the coming of age drama Aftersun. The 27-year-old shot to worldwide fame after starring in Normal People.
Since then, he gone from strength to strength with a string of accolades and award nominations. Paul told ES Magazine his new-found fame has mostly led to positive experiences.

He said: "97 per cent of it is really nice - then 3 per cent is somebody, like, grabbing your ass." Paul was posing with fans outside London's Almeida Theatre, where he was starring in A Streetcar Named Desire, when the incident took place.
He added: ‘As we posed for it, she put her hand on my ass. I thought it was an accident, so I like… moved away but the hand followed. I remember tensing up and feeling just, like, fury.
"I turned to her and said, 'What’re you doing? Take your hand off my ass'." Paul's local pub is offering the actor free pints ahead of his return to Ireland this week.
