Paul Mescal could be back on the market as he and Phoebe Bridgers spark split rumours

Normal People star Paul Mescal and US singer Phoebe Bridgers have reportedly broken up.

The news which has shocked fans comes less than a year after the pair bought a home together in West Cork.

The couple have been dating for two years and were first spotted together on a brunch date in Kinsale. The romance blossomed not long after Paul, from Maynooth in Kildare, had starred in the TV adaption of Sally Rooney's Normal People.

If the breakup rumours are true it'll be a very different Christmas for Paul and Phoebe compared to last year when the couple spent their first Christmas together with Paul's family in Kildare.

Lifting the lid on her "best Christmas ever" Phoebe told British Vogue that it was a "full rom-com" experience.

The pair sparked engagement rumours earlier this year but after the alleged split, fans are speculating that Phoebe has a new beau.

The singer has now been linked to American comedian and musician Bo Burnham after the pair were spotted at a comedy show this week. According to the Deux U showbiz podcast, Pheobe and Bo were together at The Magic Castle, a The 1975 concert, and a local bar.

The couple has been reportedly spotted 'making out, canoodling and cuddling' around Los Angeles.

Last week, Bo and Phoebe posed for a flirty picture together which showed the singer kissing The 1975 frontman Matty Healy as Bo stood behind them with his eyes closed.
