Besotted fans of Irish actor Paul Mescal have begged the Normal People actor to ask Jodie Comer out on date as the stars looked like the 'perfect pair' after winning big at the Olivier Awards on Sunday night.
The annual theatre awards which celebrates world-class theatre in London, saw some of the biggest names on the West End attend the prestigious ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall.
As expected, Irish actor Paul, 27, triumphed for his powerful performance as Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire following a sell-out run at the Almeida Theatre.
Elsewhere, Killing Eve star Jodie, 30, triumphed both on the red carpet and during the ceremony as she was awarded Best Actress for her role in one woman play Prima Facie.
Following their epic wins, Paul and Jodie posed together with their coveted gongs as dapper Irish actor Paul wrapped his arm around Jodie while they beamed for the cameras.
After the photos surfaced online, admirers of the talented stars quickly flocked to social media to congratulate the pair for their incredible wins.
Elsewhere, more fans begged Normal People's Paul to ask Jodie out on a date because they looked like the 'perfect couple'.
Taking to Twitter and Instagram to share their reactions, one excited fan tweeted: "I'm sorry but are Paul Mescal and Jodie Comer not the most PERFECT COUPLE! Insanely talented, distractingly beautiful, adorable and so humble. Someone set this up."
"Why are Jodie Comer and Paul Mescal not married?????? They look so beautiful together," another echoed.
"I know nobody is sure if Paul is actually single but if he is he NEEDS to ask Ms Comer out on a date. They are couple goals without even knowing it," someone else quipped.
While a fourth tweeted: "Wow massive congrats to Paul Mescal for winning Best Actor and for being the greatest potential boyfriend to every famous woman."
"These two are salt of the earth!!!! They need to get together!!! Imagine that power couple," someone else suggested.
Elsewhere, someone else complained: "Ummm these two talented actors have just won the most prestigious award in theatre and people are just talking about their dating lives. Seriously, just shut up."
In recent months, Paul is rumoured to have split from American singer-songwriter, Phoebe Bridgers, after the pair dated for over two years with engagement rumours swirling.
Although Phoebe spent Christmas in Ireland with Paul's family in 2021, the lovebirds are said to have parted ways over the festive period in 2022.
Meanwhile, Jodie has famously remained quiet about her love life but back in 2020, the gorgeous actress was first linked to her rumoured beau James Burke - who is an American lacrosse player.
Since then, the Killing Eve star and Burke have been spotted together on multiple occasions, including a trip they took across the pond to the actress’s hometown of Liverpool.
It comes after Normal People star Paul's speech at the Oliver Awards left some fans in tears.
The Irish actor thanked his beloved mother Dearbhla, who is currently receiving treatment for cancer, before adding: "I hope you get better."
During her acceptance speech for Best Actress, Jodie told the star-studded audience: "I'm so overwhelmed. This play has changed my life. I am so grateful and I have so many people to thank.
"To Suzie Miller for writing the most exquisite play I have ever had the pleasure of reading. One thing I would like to say to any kids who haven't been to drama school, who can't afford to go to drama school, who has been rejected from drama school, don't let anyone tell you that it isn't possible.
"It might take the stars to align and you to be met with generous, kind, patient people but it is possible. Mum, Dad, I love you, and my Grandad is 82 today so happy birthday."
Jodie's phenomenal performance in the play follows the story of a barrister who has progressed from her working class origins to the top of the profession before an unexpected event changes her life.
Prima Facie also won Best New Play, and after receiving critical acclaim for her performance at the Harold Pinter Theatre Jodie will be taking the play to New York City's Broadway later this month.
